Hello.
I just received a message from the freight company. After a lengthy discussion and one snapped pencil, the uniforms will be arriving on Thursday around 11:00am to mid-afternoon. We will need anyone who is available to help out with the unboxing. No need to let me know - just show up at 4pm and we will get to work. The plan of attack: Thursday afternoon - students with study halls will help move and prep our work space. Thursday after school - anyone able to help will unbox and organize the uniforms. Depending on how quickly it goes, if a student was helping us unbox they could potentially try on their uniform Thursday after school. Friday during lunch - fitting kids who can't make it after school Friday during study halls - fitting kids who can't make it after school Friday after school - fitting the entire band into uniforms. Please let me know if you will be fitting your uniform after practice or a game on Friday. I'll be here all night but it would be nice to know what times we are working with. MR The new band uniforms will arrive on Thursday.
What this means for you -
Be patient on Friday. 10th, 11th, and 12th graders should have a uniform already "assigned" to them - the one you were fitted in last spring. Hopefully it fits you. If it does not fit we will find you a different one. Freshmen, you will be fitted from the additional new uniforms. That process will be a little more complicated. Patience. I am honestly in shock that this is happening. We have a tracking number. This is real. MR Hello CFHS band family:
Quick update for you on the uniforms:
MR Hello CFHS Band parents,
We are in need of 10 more people who would be able to help sell concessions on Friday, November 13 and could earn us a potential $2000 for the Uniform Campaign. We could use 1 more person to help starting at 5:30pm, and 10 more people to help from 6:00pm to close (around 9pm). Please e-mail me directly if you are able to help. Thanks for your consideration! MR rennekml@chipfalls.org Hello CFHS band parents,
We have a great opportunity to raise about $2000 in one evening this Friday, November 13. The high school is going to be a neutral site this Friday for one of the Level 4 playoff football games. Because our own team is going to be in Steven's Point, the athletic boosters are looking for help to run the concession stand at the football game being held here in Chippewa. The boosters have offered to give us 50% of the concessions gross (using the other 50% to pay for the food/soda) if we can provide workers. They will plan and prepare and run the stand, and we will do the "work" selling concessions. So, to make this work: we need 15 adult volunteers to help sell concessions this Friday. If you are willing to help us with this endeavor please e-mail me (Mr. Renneke) directly at rennekml@chipfalls.org. Band parent Steve Hein and myself will be coordinating the volunteers. Students who are under 18 are welcome to help but they must be working with a parent/guardian. Time frame: Need 3 people for setup at 4:30pm Need 6 people to open the stand at 5:30pm Need a full complement of workers (15-19) by 6:00pm Should end around 9:00pm Steve and Shelley Hein have already volunteered to help that night - so has my fiance. Will you be available to help us take a big bite out of our remaining goal for the Uniform Campaign? Thank you for your generous gifts of time and treasure so far! MR |
